Good Eyes

What?? October?? What happened to September?

Man, it seems like life has been flying by.

It has been a fun season even though there is some craziness in life.  Fun, because I have purposed to make it fun and I hope you do too.

I love the fall, but I love every season. Even though in summer, I don't handle humidity well and in winter, no ice please.

I always enjoy my husband Jimmie and our time of Jesus, coffee, and fire pit, with my new rental cat.

But I have been writing, reading, baking, cleaning, and enjoying our Grandson Jacob who is visiting us from Maryland. (this is LeRoy & Jessica’s youngest son. How cool is that? He is hanging out with Pops & Grammy) and he has visited several other family members also. He and I made No Bake Cookies & Amish Cinnamon Bread together and shared them with the family. I guess it was good because none of it came back. Jason (our son) has been home for a little while so Jimmie and I got to watch the CHIEFS game with him and that was so much fun. Great game too.

We have also  been enjoying our youngest grandson Zayne who loves playing football and he is a killer player. (check out my facebook page on the article in the paper about his little famous self). So proud of him.

We got a special surprise visit from our Granddaughter Mikaela and two of her friends. We love those girls. Mikaela came down and took me to lunch  one day on her way home from UMKC.

We get to see our daughter Amanda at least once a week because she works for us and we wouldn’t get half as much done without her, she is such a gift to us and her husband Chris also, they bring such joy in our lives.

We will soon get to see LeRoy and Jessica and all the boys.  Mat Strong (their oldest son) is getting married to Kirsten this month and we will be there for it.

We get to see Aaron & Katie and Seth also. We love our family.

So, if we look for them there are lots of good things in life. Your life is so important, are you enjoying it? Are you seeing the good things, with good eyes? Don’t miss it!  Sometimes what we think to be insignificant , or ordinary are the riches of the kingdom in this life. Here is a link to a message Jimmie preached recently! So good. Click here

I know I used this verse in another blog but I know sometimes I need to be reminded of this and I imagine you do too.  Let’s be refreshed by it.

Romans 12:1-2

[ Place Your Life Before God ] So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it……..

Hope you are encouraged.

God is so for you it is Ridiculous!!

What have you been enjoying? I would love to hear from you.

Blessings, Sherri
