He always has our best interest in His sights.
I woke up this morning with this thought in my mind. How do we enjoy life and see good days in this crazy time? GOD IS SPEAKING, AND HE ALWAYS SPEAKS BIBLE.
I love that God is the same and His ways are the same.
It is not like a roll of the dice, sometimes He is good and sometimes He is not. He always has our best interest in His sights.
I PETER 3:10-12 AMP - 10 “The one who wants to enjoy life and see good days [good—whether apparent or not], Must keep his tongue free from evil and his lips from speaking guile (treachery, deceit).
11 “He must turn away from wickedness and do what is right. He must search for peace [with God, with self, with others] and pursue it eagerly [actively—not merely desiring it].
12 “For the eyes of the Lord are [looking favorably] upon the righteous (the upright), And His ears are attentive to their prayer (eager to answer), But the face of the Lord is against those who practice evil.”
When we look at verse 10 we see that sometimes enjoying life and seeing good days is not always apparent but in that time we must take action. We cannot let everything we think or feel fly out of our mouth. We must work on not speaking out of anger or frustration and speak truth, that creates life.
V11 is about taking more action, turning away from what doesn’t work and pursue peace!
V12 The Lord is watching us favorably, and His ears are open to our prayers, He wants us to succeed in every area.
Jimmie and I learned early on that we must pursue peace, go after it. Jesus is the Prince of Peace.
For years our house and lives were filled with anger, turmoil, frustration and chaos. People would stay away from us because of it. But we worked hard and we continue to work hard to change that because it doesn’t work and living in peace is priceless.
Now when people come over to our house we can’t get them to leave and they always say “IT IS JUST SO PEACEFUL HERE!”Sometimes they come and have dinner and fall asleep on our couch and then apologize for it. But to us that is a complement.
Peace is something we can’t do without because it affects everything.
Having peace works wonders in every area of life and in every relationship we have. Jimmie and I learned that you can accomplish far more in PEACE then in strife. It doesn’t mean you won’t have conflict, it just means that you deal with it in Peace, a place of strength.
When we are angry, frustrated or if you pout (I was a professional pouter) I would punish the people I loved by pouting and that’s a horrible thing to do to anyone, it’s a form of control and it never works, it only takes us farther away from what we really want (a house full of peace and love is what we truly want).
WE NEED TO BE EXPERTS AT HOLDING SHORT ACCOUNTS OF ALL OFFENCES.
THERE IS SO MANY LOOKING FOR PEACE IN THIS TIME. LET’S BE AN AGENT OF PEACE.
Well, those are my thoughts for this week, hope it encourages you and that you meditate on them and get them down in your heart. Because GOD IS SO FOR YOU IT IS RIDICULOUS!
